Super Cow are bread from Belgium, because of the natural selection,a protein that counteracts muscle growth occur they are selected from specific genes, and are artificially bread
resulting in accelerated lean muscle growth. The defect in the breed's gene is maintained through linebreeding. This mutation also interferes with fat deposition, resulting in very lean meat.

Orgainc Farming
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLrb7c3Zt-c&feature=related
Talking about organic farming recently, it is a system of crop cultivation that uses biological methods of fertilization and pest control as substitutes for chemical fertilizers and chemicals, which are regarded by supporters of organic methods as harmful to health and the environment and unnecessary for successful cultivation. Since organic farming is time-consuming, organically grown produce tends to be expensive. Organic produce formerly accounted for a minuscule portion of total American farm output, but it has seen a huge proportional increase in sales in recent years

Slow-food

This is a video talking about "slow-food nation". Alice Water in 60 minutes stated the advantages of eating slow food. Slow food tends to use natural ingredients like organic corn; mostly slow food ingredients are something that you can find in your little garden. A common complaint about orgainic food that is expensive.

Super Size Me (preservers part)

Another clip from "Super Size Me". This time, I am going to show you why McDonald is always a kind of "mummy-food", which is still well-preserved by time. See those french fries there?? It amazed me for the first time I have seen this clip, how many chemicals did McDonald put into their food? I can't imagine how many preservers are there. But now, I guess I can eat McDonald for every meal to turn myself to a mummy :)

Super Size Me

Super Size Me was filmed in 2004 as a American documentary film, the director Morgan Spurlock, who is an American independent filmmaker, spent a total 30-day period from Feb 1 to March 2, 2003. By time, he only ate McDonald's food for his daily meals, days after days, he has found himself starting to build fats, difficult to get up from his bed, turning lazy...and YES! This is how McDonald affects our lives, with the cheapest food, deep fried, making it as golden and crispy as possible. I've got a question here. How could someone survive eating so much of this junk food??

Searching engines
Information from these engines do not make us feel dumber. However, Wikipedia for example, technically, they are not encyclopedia. Since all people in the world can easily access and upload or even add information into it easily as they want. How can this so-called 'encyclopedia' to be validate? In my opinion, Wikipedia references are not so reliable as well. Since web user have no idea to find out where the sources are true or not, even students use Wikipedia for sources, it will lower the standard of solidity for academic writings. This is alos why Wikipedia wasn't a good web site and search engine by most of the professors nowadays.

Journalism
Journalism is a practice of investigation and reporting of events, journalism is at the center of new developments in journalism. In this new paradigm, journalists are able to engage citizens and the experts/elites in the proposition and generation of content.
- Journalism's first obligation is to the truth.
- Its first loyalty is to the citizens.
- Its essence is discipline of verification.
- Its practitioners must maintain an independence from those they cover.
- It must serve as an independent monitor of power.
- It must provide a forum for public criticism and compromise.
- It must strive to make the news significant, interesting, and relevant.
- It must keep the news comprehensive and proportional.
- Its practitioners must be allowed to exercise their personal conscience.

Technology
Technology to me is important. Not only because it gives us a easier, simpler, and a modern world, but also a channel to let people connect to others with a different way. Generally, technology is a good thing to human if we use it correctly. However, if we felt too reliable on them, that may not be good. Technology is important but not necessary, how would life be before we have Facebook? How would life be before we have a mobile? Yes. Life still goes on even without those devices. To certain extent, technology is directing us to a negative direction, human evolution happens because we practice and practice all the time. I have no idea how will it be if we are too reliable on tech.

Weekend blogs
1) If I say all people have right to a quality education taught by qualified teachers. Most of the people might think I am out of mind. However, different aspect may have different meaning to 'quality'. For example somewhere in the mid-Africa, a 'quality' education may be some kind of hunting skills. Meanwhile here in the US, 'quality' will be the understanding of read and write which is a total different world. Hence, I guess it was our misunderstanding to the word 'quality'. It's so true that we need to learn read and write, to certain extent, i think a quality education depends on the society rather than our etic view to what 'quality' meant to be through the world.
2) To those urban inner city schools which have no money to pay for good teachers and low test scores, to be realistic, a school helps children to become less dependent on the family, providing a bridge to other social groups. Children learn that they will be judged on their behavior and on academic performance. If a school can't afford a good teacher, at least teach their children a correct moral for their future development.

(Intro) Nice to meet you =]
Hi everybody :)
I am Hanson Tsien from Hong Kong, this is my first blog for homework assignment, and I am having so much fun with it. I have never thought of receiving any points with an assignment like this one (Honestly i feel this better than using etudes). I used to live in Hong Kong for 16 years before I study in Foothill College. I remember when I was very little, I dreamed of being a Jedi after i watched Star Wars. That was cool ,holding a light saber and slash Darth Vader into pieces. I am just kidding :). I tried to study marine biology after I recognized Vader was too hard for me to defeat, one of the reason I wanted to study marine biology was because i am a swimmer and I love biology a lot. I love nearly all sorts of aquatic games, and I am an athlete of swimming team in Foothill College.
This Spring Quarter, I register 23units of class, and most of them requires me to write essays. I believe we learn skills by practice rather than learning theories. Posting blogs are too awesome to me as it makes me improve my thinking of new thoughts and I don't have to follow the exact format provide by a prof. most of the time (Saying 12 font, double space, you must follow the exact format otherwise no credits will be given). I hope this will be a meaningful quarter and I can keep up my GPA. Summer is near!! GOGOGO!!
